We believe that the range and depth of experience of our environmental infrastructure team differentiates Foresight from other investment managers active in the sector. Their efforts were also recognised at the New Energy Awards in February 2009, as Foresight won the title ‘Renewable Energy Investor of the Year Award’. Foresight beat off stiff competition from BlackRock, HgCapital and Invesco to win the award. The group was acknowledged for its continued investment in environmental technologies and infrastructure projects around the UK during 2008.
The environmental team has indepth market knowledge which enables Foresight to identify optimal market strategies and understands the way in which markets can evolve. The team has vast experience of engineering procurement and operations management and are expert in understanding planning and permitting regimes. Their advisory capacity and experience as private equity investors and bankers in financing of projects and companies with both senior debt and equity is an invaluable asset to the Group.
