Foresight Solar EIS

The Foresight EIS Fund is designed to provide attractive returns by investing in a portfolio of EIS qualifying companies owning solar power generating systems supported by the UK government's Feed-in Tariff scheme.

By investing in the Foresight Solar EIS fund, investors have the opportunity to receive an annual yield of more than 5% after the first year and to generate capital profits on the ultimate sale of the investments alongside various tax benefits, including 30% income tax relief, roll-over of capital gains and inheritance tax relief.

Private investors who do not have an independent financial adviser can register to receive a copy of the Information Memorandum if they first submit to Foresight Group LLP a duly completed and signed regulatory statement that they qualify either as a high net worth investor or as a sophisticated investor. Pro forma statements can be down loaded from the below.

• If, in the last financial year, you had an annual income of £100,000 or more or net assets (excluding your primary residence  and pensions) to the value of £250,000 or more, you can self-certify as a high net worth investor. 
• If you have been a member of a network or syndicate of business angels for at least the last six months; or made more than one investment in an unlisted company in the last two years; work, or have worked in the last two years, in a professional capacity in the private equity sector, or in the provision of finance for small and medium enterprises; or are currently, or have been in the last two years, a director of a company with an annual turnover of at least £1 million, you can self-certify as a sophisticated investor.  Alternatively, a independent adviser may certify that you qualify as a sophisticated investor.

On receipt of one of these statements, duly completed to the satisfaction of Foresight Group LLP, a copy of the Information Memorandum will be despatched to you. A prospective investor will still need to be assessed either by Foresight Group LLP or by an independent financial adviser, that he or she is capable of making his own investment decisions and understanding the risks involved in making an investment in the Foresight Solar EIS Fund, based on his expertise, experience and knowledge.
