Foresight Environmental Fund

Launched in March 2011 with a cornerstone commitment of £35 million from the London Green Fund, supported by the European Investment Bank, the Foresight Environmental Fund (FEF) is a £60m institutional fund which invests in waste recycling and renewable energy projects in the Greater London area. Other investors include the Greater London Authority and various UK pension funds. To enable private individuals to invest alongside these institutions, a £10m retail offer is available through a Protected Cell Company.

The FEF invests in waste-to-energy and recycling plants in the Greater London area which promote sustainable and carbon neutral economic growth. The investment programme will divert considerable volumes of municipal and commercial waste from landfill each year, reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions, and create new sustainable jobs in areas of London that need regeneration. At present less than half of London's commercial and industrial waste is recycled.

With its wide ranging sector experience, network of contacts and proprietary deal-flow, Foresight aims to provide institutional investors with access to environmental investments thereby generating stable and long term revenues and profits.

Foresight are actively seeking investment opportunities within the Greater London area by partnering with waste managers, technology suppliers, entrepreneurial management teams and customers requiring renewable power, recycled materials or related services.
