Our environmental team combines senior management experience within the recycling, waste and renewable energy generation sectors with extensive engineering skills and financial expertise, particularly in structuring and managing high growth unquoted investments.
Team members have inter alia been responsible for building and managing large scale process plants and negotiating major contracts under the Private Finance Initiative. The environmental team seeks to support management teams in the construction and operation of multi-site recycling and renewable energy facilities, with a typical capital cost of between £5 million and £30 million. Team members serve as non-executive directors on each investee's board and are closely involved in setting strategy and operational execution, such as construction, planning permissions and commissioning.
Foresight has invested in a number of innovative waste infrastructure companies in the UK and is now considering investment opportunities in Europe.
With the team's direct management and operational experience, which includes PFI contracts, waste collection and disposal, plant construction and operation, Foresight understands the practical challenges involved in establishing new waste infrastructure. This experience, combined with an extensive network of sector contacts, enables Foresight to bring together the relevant expertise, including management, planning, technology, waste sourcing and offtake contracts required to capitalise on investment opportunities in the sector.
