Foresight Infrastructure aims to deliver long term, stable investment returns to investors through ownership of energy generation and Private Finance Initiative (PFI) assets.
With government backed incentives for renewable energy generation and government supported long term PFI contracts, returns are expected to be more predictable with relatively lower risk, generating a stable stream of future cash flows out of which regular dividends can be paid.
Foresight arranges the optimum funding solution for each project, which typically includes a project finance debt facility and equity from one of Foresight’s infrastructure funds. Foresight is interested in projects that exhibit:
- Contracted or highly predictable income streams.
- High yielding operating or turnkey construction stage.
- High quality contract counterparties.
- Stable political and legal jurisdictions.
The multinational Foresight infrastructure team comprises individuals with operational, financing, legal, tax and structuring expertise in the renewable energy and PFI sectors. Foresight has a particular expertise in the solar PV sector having invested in over £300 million of operating solar plants across Italy, Spain and the UK.
