07 September 2009: Foresight Group (“Foresight”), the leading alternative asset manager, has strengthened its Solar Team with the appointment of Diomidis Dorkofikis as Investment Manager. Based in Foresight’s Rome office, Diomidis will primarily be responsible for managing Foresight’s existing solar portfolio and assisting on new Italian and Greek PV transactions.
A specialist in project financing and the renewable energy sector, Diomidis joins Foresight from Millennium Bank in Greece, where he worked as a project finance analyst in the Corporate and Investment Banking Department. Prior to this, he worked at Alpha Bank in the Loans and Syndication department and was previously an equity analyst in the Research department of National Securities.
Diomidis holds a bachelors degree in Industrial Management and Technology and a masters degree in Corporate Finance from SDA Bocconi. He is fluent in Greek, English, French and Italian.

Foresight has arranged the finance for three solar PV projects in Italy and Spain in 2009 to date working with Barclays, West LB, Bank of Scotland and Centrobanca, with a total capacity of 20 MWs. Foresight is launching a second solar fund with a target fund size of €250m.
