Sustainability in Infrastructure

Foresight is a sustainability-led investment manager, looking to make long-term infrastructure investments that support key global sustainability themes. Along with supporting the wider sustainability agenda, Foresight is committed to driving forward the global energy transition to achieve decarbonisation in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Whether we are financing infrastructure investments to facilitate the energy transition, protecting and restoring natural forest ecosystems or driving the roll-out of fibre broadband, our teams are working to create a sustainable legacy fuelled by clean power and resource-efficient systems.

We shape our investment strategies around the long-term trends defining society. We view sustainability and the incorporation of ESG considerations into the investment process, ongoing asset management and reporting procedures to be a core element of our investment management proposition.

Before any investment is made, and throughout the investment cycle, we evaluate and score a project's sustainability credentials against a number of predetermined criteria, taking into account a wide variety of sustainability and ESG factors.

Each of our new infrastructure investments are evaluated in accordance with our Sustainability Evaluation Tool, which enables Sustainability and ESG considerations to be identified, scored and subsequently managed with the eventual aim of making improvements in any and every area possible.
